Brighter Smile is a family and cosmetic dental practice on Marine Drive, led by Dr. Farhad Goshtasby Ardekani. Five general dentists work here, several with advanced training in root canals, gum care, and implants, so most treatment is completed here rather than referred elsewhere.
Dr. Farhad Goshtasby Ardekani qualified at Tehran University in 1991 and has been practising ever since, more than three decades behind the chair, with families who have followed him for twenty years and now bring their own children in.
Brighter Smile opened on Marine Drive in North Vancouver to put that experience in one place, alongside colleagues who go deeper than a general practice usually can: Dr. Behdad Moslehi, who has spent 25 years saving teeth other dentists would extract, Dr. Pouran Rostamian, a UBC clinical instructor, and Dr. Hamidreza Shirbani, who holds a Master of Science in Periodontics, all of whom handle gum care and implant work in-house, and Dr. Sina Sadeghi, with twenty years of endodontic and restorative work behind him.

Graduated from Tehran University of Medical Sciences in 1992 and completed a postgraduate program in endodontics in 1998. More than 25 years focused on root canal therapy and restorative dentistry. Passed the National Dental Examining Board of Canada in 2016 and practises here as a general dentist. Where another dentist may say extraction is the only option, he will go out of his way to save the tooth.

He completed the Dental Board Examination in Canada in 2016 and has practised as an associate general dentist in Burnaby and Coquitlam. His interests are periodontal treatment, implants, and family dentistry.

He earned his dental degree in Iran and ran his own private practice in Tehran for two decades, with advanced training in endodontics, restorative dentistry, and implantology, which remain his main focus. He immigrated to Canada in 2022 and completed the NDEB equivalency process, becoming fully certified in February 2025. Gentle, evidence-based care is his priority. Outside the clinic he hikes, cycles, swims, and bakes.
